Month One
Excavation
Before a man can reclaim himself, he must see what has been shaping him.
This month explores the experiences, beliefs, and relational patterns beneath his current life. We look at where he learned to disconnect from emotion, silence his needs, earn love through performance, or protect himself from the feminine.
We uncover
- The boyhood experiences still influencing the adult man
- Mother wounds and early experiences of the feminine
- Shame, grief, anger, rejection, and unmet emotional needs, through somatic breath and movement
- The masks of achievement, control, pleasing, withdrawal, or emotional distance
- Patterns appearing in sex, intimacy, conflict, fatherhood, and leadership
- Where he abandons himself to avoid disappointing others
- What his body has been holding beneath the surface
This is not about blaming his parents. Our parents could only meet us to the depth they had met themselves. Excavation is about seeing clearly, so the past no longer unconsciously directs the present.
